Our Favorite Accessories For Peloton On Amazon

We bought a Peloton bike in February 2020 and have fallen in love with both the community and accessories. The first thing we noticed was that alternative lower-cost accessories aren’t something talked about much in the community. It makes sense given Peloton has its own merchandise and I’m sure makes an amazing profit on accessories. Also before we dive into the alternatives, if you’re looking to save on your Peloton gear use our partner link to get $100 off all your accessories

Scooch has been cycling for years and had some older gear but it was time for an upgrade. For those that have been cycling for years, it’s important to know that Peloton is much different. We’d done a bunch of research on the “cult-like” behavior the Peloton community embodies and after joining we can now see what the hype is about.

These are some of the best accessories compatible with Peloton that we’ve researched and tested. The most important components when looking for alternatives to branded Peloton accessories are durability, cost, and sizes.

The most important non-branded accessory we purchased was the 7×3 foot exercise mat that our bike sits on. As you can see from the pic with Scooch we have white carpet so getting the bike stable was a top priority. I highly recommend if you have carpet placing a 7×3 sheet of plywood under the mat. This will help dramatically.

After you’ve purchased a 7×3 exercise mat to put the bike on, the hand weights are an accessory that you can find on Amazon for cheap or even in your local Target.

Last and most importantly are the shoes. I would recommend going to your local bike shop and getting your size. The sizes are European so if you’re from the US, this is entirely a new measurement for your feet. Once you’ve found out the size of your feet in the European sizes for bike shoes I would recommend getting them from Amazon with LOOK DELTA cleats. Many shoes available on Amazon have interchangeable cleats so you can swap out the actual clips connected to the bottom of the shoe.

Overall, getting non-branded Peloton gear will require more work but it can bring some savings. If you are new to Peloton and want a discount, you can get $100 off your branded accessories when you signup with THIS LINK!

Happy cycling everyone!

Love,

Scooch and Steve
